Lindsay's Triangle

Performance Friday and Saturday -  March 28 and 29, 2008

ATTENTION NEW HAVEN BALLET PARENTS, STUDENTS, AND FRIENDS

I am personally inviting you to attend Lindsay's Triangle, a collaborative production featuring the newly revived New Haven Ballet Company, the ECA Dancers, and guest artists Syren, a highly acclaimed modern dance company based in Queens, NY. From the New Haven Ballet Company, you don't want to miss the premier of guest choreographer Alfred Obersteiner's electric work, Separate as One, to a driving score by Phillip Glass; Journey, restaged by New Havens own Chereé Knight-Camara will lift your spirits, and soloist Dan Pahl is dazzling in Susan Stacks spirited new choreography to one of Bach's delightful solo cello works.

Due to my recent absence from the Ballet, I have not been able to preview the ECA Dancers but I have seen them many times in the past. I can attest to their incredible energy, technical prowess, and dramatic presence and I know you will find their performance inspiring. If you havent seen them before, now is your chance.

Finally, our guest company Syren will be performing an excerpt from Abramavel, inspired by the culture, music, history and journey of the Sephardic Jewish people. Abravamel follows the paths forged by those who thought their struggle and new beginnings stayed true to what was most sacred to them, their families and their beliefs. For more information visit www.syren.org.

All I can say is WOW! What a line-up! Oh yes, who is Lindsay? That would be Lindsay Lee, the common thread between the three companies. Lindsay dances with Syren and is a graduate of both ECA and New Haven Ballet. So you just cant miss this performance. Please support the New Haven Ballet Company and I know you will be rewarded with a fabulous evening of dance that will challenge and thrill you.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29 at 7:30 at the Arts Hall at ECA, 55 Audubon St. across from the New Haven Ballet. Donations are $10 per person and reservations can be made by calling 203-777-5451 ext. 316. I will be there to greet you and there is also a reception on Saturday night that you are all invited to attend. I look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Best wishes,

Noble
