Damien JohnsonDamien Johnson a native
of Dallas, Texas began intense ballet training at
The Etgen-Atkinson School of ballet under the direction of Ann Etgen and
Bill Atkinson. Damien later moved to New York City to attend The School of
American Ballet as a full scholarship student. After The School of American
Ballet Damien danced with the American Repertory Ballet. Damien just
completed his first season with The Dance Theatre Of Harlem and is happy to
be back performing with The New Haven Ballet.

Andrea Spiridonakos
Andrea Spiridonakos is a native of Winsted, Connecticut.
She began her dance training at the Nutmeg Ballet School under the tutelage
of Sharon Dante. In 1993, she entered the School of American Ballet in
Manhattan. She studied there on a full scholarship for four years.
In 1996 and 1997 she participated in the school’s annual workshop performances.
Dancing one of the principle roles in George Balanchine’s Symphony in Three
Movements. Andrea was then invited to join the Miami City Ballet.
Since joining Miami City Ballet in 1997, Andrea has danced many roles in the
company’s repertoire, including soloist and principal roles in Balanchine’s
Rubies, Slaughter on Tenth Avenue and the role of Myrtha in Giselle. Andrea
was promoted to soloist in 2002. Her performance in the New Haven Ballet’s
Nutcracker will be Andrea’s first time dancing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

| Robert Maiorano Robert Maiorano was
a scholarship student at the School of American Ballet, where he performed in The Nutcracker for six years. He joined the New
York City Ballet at age 15. The next twenty-two years he danced as a leading soloist
during New York City Ballet’s golden age. Nine of the 20 th century’s greatest
choreographers made ballets for
him. Since his dancing career, Mr. Maiorano has acted in roles
ranging from Prmetheus
to Dracula; has authored three children’s books, an award
winning autobiography, a
criticially acclaimed book of George Balanchine making his
last ballet, and a couple of
plays. In 2002, Mr. Maiorano choreographed an Ode to September
11. He has since
been teaching ballet in Sherman, Connecticut, Commack, Long
Island and as a guest
artist and Dance Master across the country. This is his 11
th season of performing
Drosselmeyer, and his second with the New Haven Ballet.

Jeremy Cox
Jeremy Cox was born in Yale New Haven Hospital on Oct. 12, 1979. He
began his training at the New Haven Ballet when he was 4 yrs. old. In 1994
he moved to N.Y. where he continued his training at the School of American
Ballet and in 1999, moved to Miami where he is currently dancing as a
soloist for the Miami City Ballet. His highlights through out his career so
far have been a first place award in the ARTS competition in 1998 and going
on to win the Presidential Scholarship where he met President Clinton at the
White House. He was also honored to have danced Melancholic from the Four
Temperaments in the ballet festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington in
2003. Jeremy is very excited to be performing again in his hometown.
